How do I prepare to receive in-kind distributions from investments?
Seed Labs supports in-kind distributions of public market shares from investment vehicles to investors.
The following information about your brokerage account will be required of you prior to receiving in-kind shares:
- Brokerage Firm Full Name
- DTC Number
- Brokerage Account Number
- Account Owner
If you are unsure about the details requested, please reach out to your brokerage firm for more details. Inaccurate brokerage information can delay the in-kind transfer process.
Please ensure you have this information ready to provide to Seed Labs in order for your shares to be sent in a timely manner.
Sending in-kind shares can be subject to delays. This can materially change the value of the shares at time of receipt. Please consider this when deciding whether to receive in-kind shares.
